Meet Dr. Williamson
There are two lines Dr. Williamson returns to when she thinks about why she does this work. Her mother wrote them to her years ago, in a letter she has never stopped carrying: "Never lose your caring spirit. That is your gift." This practice is her answer to that.
Dr. Williamson is double board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and Internal Medicine, and trained at Houston Methodist in Houston, Texas. Before medical school, she spent years as a clinical social worker, a background that shaped not just how she listens, but what she listens for.
She watched the conventional system rush through the patients who needed the most time. She watched physicians worn down by a model that rewarded volume over depth. And she decided she was done apologizing for a system that was never built to serve the people sitting across from her.
